Tel Aviv Jaffa – From ancient to modern
Meeting: 8:30am at the Clock Tower outside the old city of Jaffa.
The tour:
We will start the day with a tour of ancient Jaffa, the old gate way to the land of Israel. We will understand how ancient the history of this place truly is and why is it the place of the beginning of Christianity. From Jaffa we will take the city bicycles (price not included, for those who wish not to take bicycles, transfers are possible by taxis, also not included in the price) and get to the Hall of Independence and see the place where Ben Gurion declared independence of the state of Israel. From there we will stroll/ride through the streets of Tel Aviv. We will see the Bau Haus architecture that made Tel Aviv be known as the white city and declared a world place of interest for it by UNESCO. A short walk in the Carmel market will provide us with smells and tastes of the land of milk and honey and provide a great opportunity for lunch. Next to the Carmel market we can find the Nahalat Binyamin arts and crafts market which provides a peak to beautiful Israeli crafts (on Tuesdays and Fridays only). You'll be back in the hotel for an afternoon of relaxation on the beach or in the hotel pool.
End: 15:00pm (3pm) back at the starting point at the Clock Tower outside Jaffa
